Provider User Guide
Thank you for supporting your participants with Lavender! This guide will walk you through how to get started and make the most of Lavender’s provider tools.
Creating a provider account
If you’re new to Lavender and would like to create a provider account, please contact us with your professional email to request access. Once your account is approved, you’ll receive an email from noreply@lavender-sleep.web.app with a link to set your password.
Logging in
Navigate to lavender-sleep.web.app and click the “Log In” button. Use the email and password associated with your provider account.
Lavender works across devices, so feel free to use it from your computer, tablet, or phone.
Provider dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll land on your dashboard. From here, you can enter any main page, like the Diary, Schedule, or Statistics view, and then select a participant to manage their data.
Adding participants
To add a new participant, select “Create Participant” from the dashboard. Enter the participant’s email address. Lavender will send them an invitation email to set up their account.
Participants must accept the invite and complete their setup before you can view their data.
Viewing participant data
From the dashboard or sidebar, select the page you want to view:
- Diary – View and manage sleep entries
- Schedule – See and update sleep/work/activity schedules
- Statistics – Review trends and sleep metrics
- Participant Schedule – View participants schedule and add sleep recommendations
After selecting a page, you’ll be prompted to choose the participant you’d like to work with.
Creating sleep plans
You can create a sleep plan for a participant by selecting the “Participant Schedule” page and choosing the participant.
Currently, only manual sleep recommendations are supported. These allow you to manually build a recommended schedule based on participant needs and your expertise.
In the future, Lavender aims to support:
- Auto-generated plans using an optimization algorithm (not yet available)
Once the modal to “Add sleep recommendation” is submitted, they’ll see it in their Schedule page.
Editing and deleting sleep plans
To modify or delete an existing sleep plan, go to the Participant Schedule page, select the participant, and find red sleep recommendation entries. Click on the event box to make changes or remove the plan.
Viewing diary
From the Diary, select a participant to see their logged entries.
Click an entry to view full details.
These entries will also be shown in the participants Participant Schedule page.
Exporting all participant data
To export all of your participant’s data, navigate to the “Diary” page and choose “Export All Data” to download all logged sleep entries for all of your linked participants.

Resetting participant accounts
If a participant loses access to their email or cannot log in, you can have an admin delete their account and re-invite them through the Firebase console.
Account settings
To change your password, go to “Settings” in the sidebar. Select “Reset Password” to receive a reset link via email.
